Accomplished, Bali-based
COMMUNITY SERVICES
National: Participated in the PolioPlus Program. Indonesian version:
PIN, Pekan Imunizasi Nasional or National Imunization Week.
Joint Program: Free Mobile Cataract Removal Clinic reaching remote
areas of Bali. Free eye examination, medicine. Currently non-mobile
clinic: Denpasar city.
Building of Blood Bank Stations throughout Bali.
Rebuilding of Rotary Forestry: Taro Village, size 28 hectars.
Renovation of homes belonging to leprosy victims: Yeh Putek, Tabanan.
Programs by RCBT
Social: goods & services donations to eight orphanages
Education: Building of play group school; scholarships; renovation
of school premises; chairs & desks; building of libraries
Health: free on the spot medical care; harelip, tumor removal, goiter,
hydrocephalus surgery
Environment: planting of trees in 10 villages
Clean Water: building of rainwater interception and retention in
four villages; Potable Water plant installation in one village that
produces an income to the village
Capital Lending: to farmers in three villages
WHMC Joint Effort with RI D 2710 Hiroshima East, Japan, Women’s
Health Mobile Clinic reaching remote villages providing examination
of reproductive system, medical treatment & preventive measures
information. Started in August 1997; Up to June 2006, travelled
98.467 km., 1020 visits, 16.004 women treated. Priority treatment:
Diagnosing infection in the reproductive ducts and sexual transmitted
diseases; Means of medicating them; To give information and awareness
of HIV / AIDS; The early stages of detection of cancer in the ovary
organs; The counseling of family planning; The counseling for women
in their lifestyle including spouse abuse.

D-9800, Australia. Official Hand Over, total five:
Jan. 7, 2007 — two villages in West Bali: Legung & Cepaka,
Tabanan
Jan. 9, 2007 — three villages in East Bali: Peninggaran (Seraya),
Tanah Barak, Bukit Catu
Projects in Progress
Clean water plant installation, a joint project with other
Rotary Clubs in Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia; Children’s
Libraries; Assisting Central Java earthquake victims with blood
supply and medical treatment.
